 In breaking news

The Minister for Agriculture and Environment Mahendra Reddy received a courtesy visit from the High Commissioner of Malaysia Ilham Tuah Illias.

Discussions focused on possible areas to further cooperation between the two countries and to work more closely to develop the agriculture sector holistically through training programs offered by the Malaysian Government as well as working in collaboration on farm mechanization.

Reddy also placed emphasis on Fiji’s intention to export beef to Malaysia as the local beef industry continued to improve.

A Trade Mission from Malaysia will visit Fiji soon to explore potential areas of cooperation, with an invitation also extended for a delegation from Fiji to visit Malaysia to strengthen ties for enhanced mutual agricultural support.
