Interesting challenges for participating schools this year

 In Coke Games 2019

Two of the best sprinters in the Pacific believes the 2019 Coca Cola Games will be a closely contested one.

Jone Delai and Banuve Tabakaucoro says the senior girls 100 metres and the Intermediate boys sprints should be closely monitored.

While many are focusing on the senior boys 100 metres, another interesting battle will be in the senior girls.

Two national reps from different events will be part of the field.

National triple and long jump rep Fane Sauvakacolo of Suva Grammar has the fastest time recorded from the zone.

But she will be up against ACS duo Serenia Ragatu and Jessie Vakaloloma as well as Salote Baravilala of Jasper Williams and Braelyn Yee of Saint Joseph Secondary.

Current Pacific Games 100 and 200 metres champion Banuve Tabakaucoro shares the same sentiment.

The Intermediate Boys 100, 200 and 400 metres generates a lot of interest as well.

Athletes like Richard Elder of RKS, Meli Junior of Suva Grammar School along with Marist Brothers High School’s Lasarusa Senibale and Anthony Ah Singh will be in action.

Delai believes this year’s Fiji finals will be like the previous years where the relays will be the deciding factor.

The Coca Cola Games will start tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
