Handing over the kits WHO Representative to Fiji and the Pacific Dr. Corinne Capuano said the donation is to ensure that they are constantly preparing the health system, so that when restrictions are eased, it won’t lead to a resurgence of disease.

The kits also equips our health system to identify, isolate and care for the sick.

WHO says there will be more genexpert kits will be delivered to Fiji and the region on a weekly basis.

This will happen when production picks up for the manufacturers.
