Fijian Medics Gets Free Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Training in India

Nurses, doctors and other medical staff from Fiji will be given the opportunity to get trained in pediatric cardiac surgery for free in India.

The Sai Prema Foundation, together with the ‘Sai Sanjeevani Hospital from India’ and with the support from the Ministry of Health – will be providing three year scholarships to medical practitioners that are identified by the Ministry.

The Sai Sanjeevani Hospital Director – Dr Ashish Katewa said, the recipients of the scholarship should be dedicated, as cardiac surgery is not easy.

These surgeons will come back and and practice in Fiji’s first hospital for heart surgery.
